I'm a C++ programmer, and I've found a way that powerpro causes my
programs to fail. This is in version 4.8 of PowerPro.

If, in PowerPro, I have a Key/Mouse entry defined to respond to bump
screen top (a mouse action), then in programs I write, the windows
GetAsyncKeyState( VK_LBUTTON ) function doesn't work as it should.

The least significant bit of the return value should be ON if the
mouse button was just pressed down, but PowerPro causes it to be off
all the time.

short     nKeyState(0);
nKeyState = GetAsyncKeyState( VK_LBUTTON );

// this works fine and gets the initial mouse down
// event when power pro is off
// when power pro is on nKeyState & 0x8000 still works,
// but (nKeyState & 1) always == false

if( nKeyState & 0x8000 && nKeyState & 1 )
  DoSingleClick();
