I don't use The Bat nor Agent, but I've often experienced the same problem with other programs, and only Alt+Tabbing would restore PowerPro's responsiveness. I don't know what causes it, and my setup is way too complicated to analyse. Since a couple of days I have completely removed active buttons from my bars, and have not seen this problem since.
