Hello there,

I don't think this has been mentioned before and I've searched before
posting this but if something eludes me please tell me so.

I've been using a password manager for quite some time now (namely
KeePass). During this time I've also tried to use PowerPro as a
clipboard extender, but it doesn't ignore clipboard activity by these
password keeping utilities so your passwords end up being written on
file in clear text.

Someone could say that a script could be written for that. I've seen a
function in PowerPro's clipboard plugin which does not store the next
thing you copy. This may be a possible solution although I didn't
investigate it further.

However, searching on the subject, I found that keepass (and I suspect
some other good password managers) implement a
CF_CLIPBOARD_VIEWER_IGNORE flag which tells clipboard managers like
ClipMate and the like to ignore clipboard activity. Using this flag,
the PowerPro clipboard watcher could ignore clipboard activity by
these programs.

Here's a related page with some info I found (just skimmed through it)
- watch out for line wrapping, the url's big:

http://www.clipboardextender.com/developing-clipboard-aware-programs-for-windows/ignoring-clipboard-updates-with-the-cf_clipboard_viewer_ignore-clipboard-format

I haven't researched if this is easy or not to implement, but if it
is, I think it would be a great enhancement. What do you think?
