I'll call them fantoms. Each looks like the shadow portion only of a toolip. I think they are all 150 px long and 35 px tall, the lower right portion of a rectangle. The weight of the lines is about 3 px. The fantoms no longer overlap. They are currently positioned near their related controls, approx 15 px below the bottom of the related control, with the x-position roughly left aligned with said control. I can now predict which one will disappear when I hover a control. They may also time out (though not quickly). When I left the PC with old regex dialog on screen and returned in 10 or 15 minutes, the dialog was still showing but the fantoms were not. Old regex dialog is minnable. If I minimize and restore the dialog, the fantoms are gone. But if the dialog is relaunched, they return. With the dialog variant of CA, two of the buttons with tooltips are close together and on the same horizontal plane; their fantoms partially overlap. Tested only with powerpro manifest file active.
