Hi Bruce, i just wanted to tell you (again), that with PowerPro you developed a great piece of software. The more i come to know to all those functions you integrated, the more i am fascinated of how effective they are and very often even simple to use.
So thank you again very much. Best regards Detlef p.s. In this case it was the vector-service "bininsert", which i fortunately happened to detect. I wanted to eliminate duplicate lines in a string. So i used vec.createFromLines and sort and then i used bininsert to insert into a second vector - now having unique entries. I would not be surprised, if there is a better solution in PowerPro for doing this. By the way, there is a small bug in the help: You wrote v.binsert instead of v.bininsert I checked the vec.txt-file and found the correct service-name. May be you can also compare vec.text and the vector-help-chapter. I noticed some differences (i.e. vec.binindex is not mentioned in the help- file)
