It's a misnomer because it is not a vector handle, but a dll handle. I was not destroying it (ever). Since the static variable had a "length", it was never getting recreated. Apparently the reason it always worked was because a sufficient number of elements (8) was getting allocated the one and only time it got created in a session. So I guess it wasn't wasting much memory. I believe the array it deferences is freed and recreated by the regex plugin as needed and the dll plugin just points its handle at the current array. > st_offset_vec=st_offset_vec.destroy After that, st_offset_vec == "OK" means "Dead" :) Regards, Sheri
