Thanks. That's a good start. I was thinking there was more, based on the 
section "skins only rarely needed" in the "Creating skins" topic in the help. 
In particular, I was thinking about how I'd generate something like I see 
described in the "bar/subbar model" of the skin design section.

The hints about using png backgrounds with transparency made me wonder what was 
possible...
