Please tell me if I overdo my occasional visit here! It's just possible there may be a PowerPro equivalent of this Stileto behaviour that can offer me some clue. Because so far I'm baffled.
I use 'macrophrases', with a prefix of '=' or ';', to type commonly used strings. So I can type = followed immediately by 'bw' and get 'Best wishes,'. Or I can type = followed immediately by 'mv' and get 'C:\Docs\My Videos'. That's something I do frequently when browsing Windows XP Pro Open and Save dialogs. But here's the problem. That latter type has recently developed the consistent flaw of never working the first time. I can't pinpoint when or why it started doing this, but it's driving me nuts! I'll type the prefix and abbreviation and it sits there as typed in the Open or Save box. However, as soon as I type it again, it works at once. Every time. This is only happening in browsing boxes. It works fine first time in 'normal' text applications. Ring any faint bells with anyone please? -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK
