It gets a different com exception:

ERROR: com.method: Invoke failed  (sys code 80020008: "Bad variable type.")

If InDesign is not already open at the start of the script, the rest of the 
script is processed and the script seems to end ok (including unloading com). 
But if the script is repeated after InDesign is running, after the error and 
subsequent input is processed, Powerpro crashes. That's new.

I'm ill. When I feel better will do more testing and will try to find a way to 
replicate the behavior using Excel.
