Hi folks, long time. Hope everyone's well. I was playing around with docks and launchers with the objective of launching any program I want with a single click (out of a choice of lots of programs). I decided that since powerpro is always running on any computer I own, I'd do things the PP way instead.
The objectives were: - One click launch - Little to no screen real estate (threw out all the docks) - Nice looking - Easily extensible Here's my attempt: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/power-pro/files/Picture_gallery/Ravi/Bar.png http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/power-pro/files/Picture_gallery/Ravi/Menu.png A mouse bump to the top of the screen shows the bar. Hovering on the appropriate button shows a "menu" and then a click launches the program. The "menu" is really a PP bar that hides after a click, or disappears if unused (an idea I got from Alan Martin here a few years ago!). The added benefit of doing things this way is that I can also have PP scripts etc. on the buttons. Hope someone finds that useful someday - the config isn't very portable at the moment, so not worth exporting, but I'm happy to answer questions if anyone has any. -- Ravi (http://shell-shocked.org)
