Are you using the "shape" keyword to get a non-rectangular bar or a bar iwth holes in it? If yes, then that is the source of the CPU, I would guess. If not, it is a performance bug in PowerPro (which I am afraid I won't be fixing). If you need a non-rectangular bar, and cannot create a png with transparent pixels, then I don't have another solution to the CPU issue, I am afraid.
