Got a virus the other day, from what I later found out was a hijacked web site. The virus was the "Security Suite" malware, one of the nasty ones that warn of compuer infection with many popups, but you are not infected with anythig other than this virus which is generating the popups and taking control of your PC. I have Spybot running but the virus got by it. By the way this virus came from surfing with Firefox - I thought it would be immune to these things! Apparently not.
Anyway with this stupid thing on my PC I cannot do anything. Every program you try to run is intercepted and the virus popups are always on top of any window already open. But - I run Powerpro and have for many years. Long ago when I was first playing around with it I made a menu that is called from a right click on the close button on any window, the menu allows me to close/hide/unhide any window. I also had made a menu item to force close all windows. This was what saved me - since PowerPro was already running it was functional, I could right click on the close box of Firefox The menu came up, and clicking my Force Close All menu item did close every window, including the popup virus windows. I was then able to search the Net for a way to clean it out. Beware of this virus it is NASTY.
