I noticed ipw2200 wakes up about 10 times/s. In my network this is due
to my wireless router's Beacon Internal of 100ms. Hence, setting that
interval to 1000ms brings the number of ipw2200 interrupts down to 1/s.
The same is probably true for other wireless cards as well.
A beacon is a packet broadcast by the Router to synchronize the wireless
network. I did not observe any performance degradation because of this
change. YMMV.
Also all the the ipw3945 power setting work for ipw2200 too:
iwpriv ethX set_power 5
For the best power savings.
