Hi everyone,

i just tried to apply the force hpet patch to the latest gentoo kernel
(which is linux-2.6.21-gentoo-r2). It fails here:

patching file kernel/time/tick-broadcast.c
patching file kernel/time/tick-common.c
can't find file to patch at input line 519
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:

Is the patch from powertop.org against the -mm kernel? The link on the
powertop website refers to:

http://linuxpowertop.org/patches/hpet_patches_45.patch

Is there a version for the 2.6.21 kernel available?
