I recently tried out powertop, and found out that skype 1.4 beta sucks the jesus of batterilife.. in idle mode take only skype takes around 200 wakups / s. I also found this site saying the same thing: http://blog.drinsama.de/erich/en/2007061401-power-waster-skype.html
Is there any fix for this yet? Has the skype devs been informed on this? best regards Yildirim
