I've changed Timer frequency to 100 Hz (was 1000Hz) and got a significant drop of extra timer interrupts. Still I've thought that this option does nothing if CONFIG_NO_HZ=y. I never get "Switched to NOHz mode on CPU #%d\n" message (kernel/time/tick-sched.c:462) so it seems that NO_HZ is somehow being disabled. Any ideas? :-/
