Last night I upgraded a K6-2 machine from FC6 to F7 so that I could get the latest kernel with dynticks support and hopefully save a couple watts at idle.
But it appears that dynticks isn't working on this machine as I'm getting about 1000 extra timer interrupts a second as shown by powertop. How can I tell if this is a kernel configuration issue or a limitation of the hardware? Comparing the config for this kernel (kernel-2.6.22.1-41.fc7 i586) with the config for the i686 kernel doesn't show any obvious differences which would cause it. -Dave _______________________________________________ Power mailing list [email protected] http://www.bughost.org/mailman/listinfo/power
