1.7.4 works for us,
and I can't get my system to actually freeze after suspend
unless i activate framebuffers.

on 2.0.0 and above, i just get a corrupted screen
resuming from s2ram, until i s2disk.
s2disk not only "repairs" the screen, but allows me to
resume healthily from s2ram everafter -- or at least,
until 1.1.99 and 2.2.0, on which the screen always breaks
after s2ram. but we're still trying to get coherency
into our machines' behaviour to have the bug well-defined.

but you've got a different chipset (945G) and a know WAAAY too
little about the difference, but for the fact that makes
about ALL the difference in driver troubles.
sorry.

I'm a laggard, running 2.6.24-rc3 :-)

Best,
Andre
