Hi

I installed 2.6.24 and everything seems OK except that my CPU
spends about 75% of its time in C2:

C0 (cpu running) ( 0.4%)
C1 0.0ms ( 0.0%)
C2 42.0ms (77.9%)
C3 41.2ms (21.7%)
2.00 Ghz 1.0%
1.80 Ghz 0.0%
800 Mhz 0.1%
600 Mhz 98.9%
Wakeups-from-idle per second : 27.0 interval: 15.0s

I found out that this is avoided if I disconnect the radio of my
wireless adaptor (echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/devices/blabla/rf_kill).
The driver (ipw2200) may remain loaded and the interface up, it
doesn't affect:

C0 (cpu running) ( 0.1%)
C1 0.0ms ( 0.0%)
C2 7.7ms ( 2.3%)
C3 164.3ms (97.6%)
2.00 Ghz 0.1%
1.80 Ghz 0.0%
1.60 Ghz 0.0%
600 Mhz 99.9%
Wakeups-from-idle per second : 9.3 interval: 15.0s

Playing around with the power settings for the wireless card
doesn't change anything either. This behavior wasn't observed
before, using 2.6.22 patched for HPET and certain patch by Josh
Triplett to align several timers
(http://www.lesswatts.org/projects/powertop/patches/kernel-2.6.22-rc1.patch).

Would somebody knonw anything about this? Am I missing something
somewhere?
