(Please cc me in replies) Hi all,
Any ideas why I get such a ridiculously high number of wakeups per second that
I can't account for?
Also, why aren't tick_sched_timer's wakeups included in the powertop output?
Why are there so many? I'm using HPET.
Many thanks,
Bruce

Suggestion: Disable 'hal' from polling your cdrom with:
hal-disable-polling --device /dev/cdrom 'hal' is the component that auto-opens
a
window if you plug in a CD but disables SATA power saving from kicking in.
