Hello I'm using powertop from the svn repository on a Sony Vaio SZ650N, Ubuntu Hardy. Powertop suggests turning off bluetooth to save power, but the commands that it runs do not turn off power to my bluetooth module. The only way I can remove the device is to do this as root:
echo "0" > /sys/devices/platform/sony-laptop/bluetoothpower there are other devices listed by the sony-laptop module that can be turned off in the same way: audiopower cdpower wwanpower For example. So, if I'm not using any sound, power to the sound card can be shut off.
