Hi!

I recently upgraded my thinkpad x61s from kernel 2.6.28.7 to 2.6.29.2.
The rest of the system is Debian Lenny. The config is originally from
Debian, but I have customized it heavyly.

After the upgrade I got a new top-cause for wake-ups:

37.9% ( 75.8) <kernel core> : hrtimer_start_range_ns (tick_sched_timer)

This wake-up cause seems to always top the list, I have only seen
"Rescheduling interrupts" surpass it.

Does anybody know what changed, causing this?
Are there kernel configurations influencing this?

thanks a lot,

Winfried
