I hear the requests.... (also not the first time ;-) )
it's not all that easy to implement.

I am still trying to figure out how to do this in the powertop 2.x tree, 
which has a more flexible code base at least.
but it's one thing to do something from a C program.. it's another to 
generate a shell program for that that does the same.
