Hi, thanks for the alpha - it looks good but here are my 2 cents ;)
What I'm missing are the tips for the tunables from the previous versions of powertop. I know I can tweak the tunables from within powertop, but I don't know how to change them permanently. With the old version of powertop I could just take the echo 1 > somethingsomething string and put it into one of my start scripts. Maybe a "help" option for each tunable would be great (e.g. press h to display a short help text which describes the tunable, with its possible consequences and savings), and a description how to change the setting manually. Moreover I'm missing the total wakeup count - if you have lots of tiny processes running wild -- at least I can't see them on my little netbook screen. If there is a total wakeup count it would be better on top of the screen. Another thing that was a little bit annoying is that the makefile checks for libnl but not for the other libraries mentioned in the README. Maybe one should put the checks into the "fake" configure script. And I somehow managed to segfault it - unfortunately I don't have a backtrace - maybe I'll try to reproduce it, but it appeared only after using it for quite a while. Apart from that - it looks quite good. Thanks, Peter -- NEU: FreePhone - kostenlos mobil telefonieren und surfen!
