Hmmm, I just downloaded the powertop sources and built them.
I looked through the README file as well as doing a grep for extech in the 
source files.
No where do I see any mention of interfacing with a power analyzer or any code 
that
specifically references the Extech name.

Am I missing something?

yes I use this meter a lot...
and powertop supports this natively ;-)
