Hello,

I think I've read about this issue somehwere before, but couldn't find it
anymore.

I compile Powertop master from git on Debian Squeeze @ 2.6.38 backport.

The old powertop (1.13) shows correct cpu frequency statistics:

Cn Avg residency P-states (frequencies)
C0 (cpu running) ( 0.0%) 2.27 Ghz 1.8%
polling 0.0ms ( 0.0%) 2.00 Ghz 1.6%
C1 halt 0.3ms ( 0.3%) 1.87 Ghz 1.8%
C2 mwait 5.7ms ( 2.0%) 1.73 Ghz 1.8%
C3 mwait 8.1ms (104.2%) 1197 Mhz 91.8%

The new powertop (master) shows incorrect cpu frequency statistics:

The idle stats look like they might be oke:

I am on

root@NAS2:/home/powertop2.0/src# uname -r
2.6.38-bpo.2-amd64

root@NAS2:/home/powertop2.0/src# dpkg -l cpufrequtils
ii cpufrequtils 007-1
utilities to deal with the cpufreq Linux kernel feature

Do you need any more info?

Valentijn
