If so, then it seems like Debian bug 620055 (at
http://bugs.debian.org/620056 ) should be marked serious (justification:
substantial loss of features).

I've had some success running it on 64 bit CentOS 5, but of course it's
missing quite a bit, but does run and allow some features. I have not yet
tested on Debian/Ubuntu so my apologies if this is noise in the bug.
