Hi,
I have a request to configure an SRV record on our nameservers. I do see
Poweradmin permits this but the documentation was not clear on how to
correctly configure the record.

This is the requested record (as received from user):

Service: _autodiscover
Protocol: _tcp
Port Number: 443
Host: exchange.domain.com

Looking around, I find this to be the appropriate formatting of the record:

_autodiscover._tcp.domain.com. 600 IN SRV 1 100 443 mail.domain.com.

I tried entering this info into the Content field and leaving other fields
empty. I then get this error from Poweradmin:

"Error: Invalid value for name field of SRV record."

In the doc's I find this:

"SRV records can be used to encode the location and port of services on a
domain name. When encoding, the priority field is used to encode the
priority. For example, '_ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.conaxis.ch SRV 0 100 389
mars.conaxis.ch' would be encoded with 0 in the priority field and '100 389
mars.conaxis.ch' in the content field."

If that is so, where does the rest of the record information go?

Can anyone help me out here? User was sparse on details but says this
record is needed to enable auto-discovery for Outlook clients. This is new
to me, but I think this is what he talks about:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940881

Thanks for pointers!
