Hi, I have a domain configured in PowerDNS, administered through PowerAdmin. I'd like to edit an existing SOA record such that it includes a [SERIAL] placeholder and the domain's serial is auto-incremented each time a change is made.
Trouble is whenever I replace the existing numeric serial value in the SOA record with [SERIAL] and try to commit the change I get a red bar across the top of the screen (no text in it AFAICS) and the record isn't saved. I can edit a zone TEMPLATE and add in [SERIAL] into an SOA record, but sadly the domain in question wasn't created using a template so that doesn't help me. Guess I could totally recreate the domain from scratch, this time based on the template which has [SERIAL] in its SOA, but it would be nice not to! Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in PowerAdmin? Thanks, Steve
