Currently,
Powerbook G3 (Pismo) 400 MHz
Powerbook 5300ce.
Previously , you could have added a PB 5300/100 (trade foder for the Pismo,
its life was not lost in vain) and the PB 5300cs is now living on the East
Coast, after growing up on the West Coast from what I can tell. Funny
because the CE made the opposite trip. It had apparently been knocked off a
table when someone tripped over the power cord, and was sold AS-IS and
rescued by the REA program. The display had been destined to replace the
grayscale on the /100.
The CE was substancially misrepresented on, guess where.... eBay. I
negotiated a price reduction from the retail dealer of questionable repute.
So sometimes bad traders can be reasoned with. Hmmm? Seems he is a
registered business, but has not paid the state for the sales taxes he has
collected in several years.
$135 was a fair price for the display alone, and a heck of a price for a
whole working CE. It turned out all of the other damage was covered by the
REA program. The retailer tried to tell me that with a broken hinge that he
neglected to notice, that the Mac was still operational. Wrong! The plug for
the AC adapter was completely torn off the mobo and so the power circuit was
not complete and would not run off battery either.
