Of the laptops I own or have access to (165, 5300, iBook-2, Wall
Street), the oldest one, the 165, has by far the nicest
keyboard, and the newest, the iBook, has the cheesiest. The 165
was probably the most expensive when new, though, save the Wall
Street, whose keyboard is, still, not so hot

Yes, the 5300 keyboard is stiff, especially for those pinky
letters, also the "m" for some reason. at home I have an old
Apple keyboard in my desk drawer hooked up
