Which model Quickcam? If it's a serial model, the most common problems with
them are either Appletalk or fax/modem software glomming on to the serial port
at boot, resulting in a 'Cannot find the Quickcam device' error. The Color
serial one needs to pull power frm the ADB port, too, IIRC.
Logitech has the latest software (V 2.1.2) on their web site. I've
successfully used it to run both my original grayscale QC on both my desktop
system( 7600 upgr to G4, OS 9.1) and my PB 540C (OS8.1) as well as the QC VC
which is a USB model on the desktop system.
It's been remarkably well behaved software...no problems that I've ever found.
