Mad Dog, In response to fixing the shorted cells in your PB 5XX batteries via Empathy, my experience is that maybe you can make the battery work better, but you can't cure it. I had the same problem with my original Apple battery--now 6(!) years old. Originally Empathy came up with 5 errors, so I just ran the program maybe 10 times, then ran Apple's Recondition utility a few times for good measure. The result after all this is that now the battery only comes up with 1 error, and is good for maybe an hour of use. If you really want to fix the battery you've got and want to get into some serious DIY repair, I've got some info from a web site that describes opening up the 5XX batteries. E-mail off list if you want it. Cheers, Don Silver ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo!
