Hi,
A friend of mine desperately needs the modem software for her PowerBook 520c.
The hard drive had died and needed to be replaced, and, of course the new
drive doesn't have any of the right modem software on it.
The modem seems to be recognized by the "PowerBook Setup" control panel (the
machine is running 7.6 now), it gives me two options, "compatible", and
"normal". Neither setting gets AOL (she is using v. 3.01) to see the modem,
which makes me think that it needs the Global Village "PowerPort" software to
work (All of the other GV modems I have used needed driver software installed
in order to be recognized by another program).
Unfortunately I do not have the disks for the PowerPort software, and neither
does my friend. If someone can maybe E-mail me the PowerPort control panel,
or a disk image of the installation disk, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Adam
