In a word, yes.  I have an "always been" 5300 ce, with 64Mb of ram running OS 
8.6 and those are the monitor options that I have.

To paraphrase the Blues Brothers, What do you want from a Mac that was 
introduced in August of 1995, a rrrrrrruubbbbbber biscuit? Bow bow bow!

I believe that you may have a few more resolution options if you connect to a 
external monitor, but the colors are maxed at a thousand.
