Hi everyone,

I was lucky to pick up a PCMCIA card cage, Rev. C today. I also have
a rev. B card on the way! I tried to use the Rev. C card cage in my
PowerBook 540c w/36Mb Ram, 500 Mb hard disk and running MacOS 8.1. I
am having trouble getting the PB to recognize my TDK DF5600 56K
Fax/Modem PCMCIA card, even after installing the appropriate driver
for it, and re-starting the computer. (The TDK DF5600 works fine on
my PB 1400.)

My questions:

1. What software, if any, was originally included with the PCMCIA
rev. C cage, and does anyone have a copy? Does this include a driver
or enalber?

2. Does anyone have a copy of the installation/operation instructions
for the PCMCIA rev. C card cage?

3. Do I need to re-install MacOS 8.1, so that the system software
installs the proper drivers to recognize the card cage?

4. Maybe this fax/modem is one that does not work with the PCMCIA
rev. C cage. Does anyone have a list of PCMCIA fax/modems that work
with the PCMCIA rev. C or rev. B cages?

5. Or, is there anything else that I am missing/need to do to get the
card cage to work?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bob
