This is NOT working for me. I am on an iMac running 9.0.4. I opened Sherlock. I went to custom. I went to the icon on my harddrive for the Appleworks application inside the Appleworks folder. I dragged the icon to the file Type box in the custom window. That moved AAPL to File Type and BOBO to Creator and also turned on the check marks in those boxes as well as the checkmark in the Kind box and set the "kind" to "application. When I tell Sherlock to search, it seems to give me ALL the applications on my harddrive. I then turned off the checkbox in the "Kind"--same thing. I also tried turning off the checkmark for AAPL--same thing. I then tried with only BOBO in the "Creator" box. That seems to give me anything and everythiing that belongs to Appleworks, including documents. What is the magic combination in the Sherlock window to get the program componants, the prefs, the invisible filed(if any) to make you get everything you need to make it look like a clean install on the target computer?
