If you see a used supply for your Powerbook on sale, buy it even if
yours is working fine today. They're hard to find, and valuable.

Truer words were never spoken (OK, written).

I bought a few 500 "bricks" for $10 each, just because they were "orphans"
(i.e., they had lost their PB).

Much later, I bought a few PB500s for $50 each, just because *they* were
orhpans (i.e., they had lost their "brick").

I'd say $60, total, for a PB540c was a pretty good price, no?

But it's true, you can never have too many spare "bricks" (even if you never
find a matching PB for it).
