Hi: Just came back from a trip to my local thrift store. Among the things that I bought, I have an HDI-20 floppy drive Model 8061. This is not the only one that I have BUT this one is white (Platinum). On the back, instead of standard Macintosh Logo and label with serial number is the following information:
MPX-163 Chameleon Model No. M8061 MPF22A External Unit Made in Japan Serial No. 10061 There is no mention of Apple, Macintosh, or anything else on the drive, aside from the Multi-coloured Apple in the Right corner. The case ribbing is the same, everything else is the same, it is just not Gray. Anyone know anything about this drive? Googled for information, but came up dry.
