Hello listers,

Thursday my 190cs came back from REA with a crisp new black cover and bezel
and tight and nice powerplug. As it had been sitting in a closet for a long
time before I got it because of broken hinges etc, also keyboard, clickpad
and the whole feeling is very newish. Very nice, and thank you all for
making me REA it!

However, one small thing. I have a Asante FreindlyNet 10 Mbps that I cant
make work on the 190cs. The card works well in my 1400 and in my old 190.
When I open the control panel Network, there are only the IRTalk and the
LocalTalk options, not the 'Built in Ethernet'

The 190cs runs OS 7.5.2 (like the 190 does, I have been happy with it since
I bought that machine in 1995)
In extensions, I have the Apple Builtin Ethernet, 'EtherTalk Phase 2', the
Asante 'FreindlyNet PCCard' driver as well as the PC-Card extension, Apple
Ethernet CS and Apple Ethernet LC.

I have tried to trash the 'Network' control panel of the 190cs and copy the
good one via a disk from the 190 to the 190cs.

Suspects: When I tried to install from the Asante disk, it couldn't. It
tries to install the 'Asante FreindlyNet PCCard' driver extension,
'Hardware Interface File plus a third item. I also tried to download the
installer from Asante in case it was a disk faliure, again the installer
failed.
Instead, I have taken the Asante FreindlyNet PCCard driver extension and
copied it via a disk.
Am I missing this third item?
Why cant I select 'Build in Ethernet' in the 'Network' control panel, like
on the 190?

???
