I just read an article on lowendmac.com that said that the 3400c had the same keyboard as the 500 series all of which, the article claimed, were inferior to the 1400 keyboard.
I'm looking around for a replacement for my 540C because I don't like the keyboard - I guess I was spoiled by my PB180. Was that author talking about the layout, feel, and/or mounting of the keyboard? I don't mind the fell of the 540C so much as the dumb way it was mounted (there is no mount in the middle area of the board). Comments? -- Matthew D.
