Try MacLynx, a Mac implementation of the Lynx Text browser: http://www.lirmm.fr/~gutkneco/maclynx/download.html The page there says it's 1.1 mb in size. Lynx is not half-bad, and handles downloads well, so it's good for bootstrappiong yourself onto the web.
