The battery in my 1400 is not being recognized, however, it is able to
maintain PRAM settings. The battery tested at 10.8 volts, almost fully
charged. This occurred after I had the machine apart, to ensure the battery
was making contact. Since it had a problem of losing contact, I attached
solder lumps to the battery terminals so they continually made contact. The
problem persists after resetting the PRAM and power manager. Also, MacTest
Pro reports the battery OK when installed, and reports the battery missing
when removed. Why doesn't the PowerBook see it?
