Yup, you're probably right for most cases. But I, in
one of my more uninspired moments, once applied Loc
Tite to the threads of my hinge screws in the hopes
that they'd never come loose again. Much to my
chagrin, when I later needed to loosen the screws, I
snapped the head off one. Result: I had to buy another
stiffener. I can now safely say that Loc Tite and PBs
don't mix.
