Alternatively, you could get a 1400-compatible PCMCIA wireless card. The
Lucent Silver card has had good reviews and costs around $45-50 from OWC
<http://eshop.macsales.com/specials/MailList.cfm>

You could then get an airport card for your iMac. I'd seen them going for
around $50 at various places on the web, but can't remember now. Give
Sherlock a try.

This solution might be a little bit more expensive than an ethernet card for
your 1400, but it's a thought. Good luck.
