Yes. If you are running an Operating system that HAS Apple System Profiler, why then it will work. Went digging and finally found Network Selector (had forgotten ALL about that!) it let me switch to Open Transport, apply a fixed IP address temporarily, get to the 'real' TCP/IP control panel and the answers I needed to set it up for dhcp...
