Basically....what REA covers are the egregious manufacturing flaws the 190/5300's suffered from : a worthless AC-Power socket on the Mobo (they just replace the whole board), and the legendarily unstable plastics on the case and screen-bezels. I've sent 17 PB's of this type (190's & 5300's) through REA and they all come back LOOKING GREAT! But if there is a bad HD or a funky floppy-drive etc. you are on your own!!! As for your screen problem...you'd probly have to talk to the REA rep. If you're lucky ...you'll talk to Christine...she's great!!! Mikie ( a grizzled REA-veteran)
