I use a Lynksys Etherfast Cable/DSL 8-port router with a cable modem. There was a booklet that came in the box with it that showed you how to configure it. You fire up your browser then type in the address of the router. It is in that booklet. For my cable company I had to tell them the MAC address of the router (instead of the MAC address of my computer) for them to "see" me, because the router is between the cable modem and my computer.
