Out of curiosity, I typed in http://192.168.1.1 on my computer and I get a
screen in Internet Explorer that asks for user name and password. i vaguely
recall my manual for the router giving a standard user name and password to
use when I first set it up. I still recommend following the instructions in
the manual that came in the box. He has a brand new router from the DSL
company.
