I can tell you a p'd off layed off or fired employee who does know of some
pirated software letting the company who the software was taken from can
bring lawsuits that can really hurt a company far more than the cost of the
employee they let go.  And typically it is a foolish idea to think that the
users will properly maintain licenses.  Getting rid of the IT dept to save
money can potentially REALLY hurt.

I need some help.  Anybody know of any sites where I can find information
about school districts that have been found to be violating software
licences?  Our school board is talking about cutting our technology
department and I need some information that shows how much it could cost the
school if we don't have somebody making sure what is installed.
